Club history
Originally formed in late 1989 by a small group of like-minded individuals to ensure that off-road four-wheel drive activities were promoted and portrayed in the best light, the Club incorporated as a limited Company ( IOM Company Registry number – 640000) limited by guarantee in 1993 and is run by an Executive Committee as provided for in the Companies Memorandum and Articles of Association.
From the outset, the Club has been a ‘recognised Club’ with ‘Motor Sport UK’ (formerly – Motor Sports Association) which provides a highly regarded common set of rules and regulations to ensure that the competitive aspects of our activities are conducted as safely and fairly as possible with the added comfort of Public Liability Insurance etc. as is needed in any motorsport arena.
AGM
Our Club’s annual general meeting takes place in November when, in addition to the necessary company formalities, a prize presentation is given for the year’s events and is usually accompanied by a buffet and any other additions corresponding to the foregoing 12 months’ activities.
